Ingredients

  • 1 kg tilapia
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 red bell peppers
  • ½ tsp spicy green pepper
  • 1 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 1 tbsp harissa
  • 4 cloves sliced garlic
  • 1 tbsp chicken stock powder
  • 2 cups water
  • ½ lemon juice
  • 5 springs chopped cilantro
  • 1 tsp chopped mint
  • salt to taste
  • ½ sliced lemon

Instructions

  • Soak the tilapia in water and add lemon juice, for half an hour.
  • Take out the tilapia and cover with a bit of salt, turmeric and oregano.
  • Add to a large skillet the olive oil and the bell peppers and fry till soft.
  • Chop the spicy green pepper into rings and add to the pan.
  • Add the paprika, hot sauce, garlic and 2 cups of water and bring to a boil
  • Add the chicken broth and condense the liquids a bit (around 5 minutes).
  • Add the tilapia to the pan and cook with a cover for 20 minutes on low flames.
  • Prior to finish, add the mint and cilantro.
  • Serve with the lemon slices.
