Rice with Ground Beef

Ingredients

  • 1 kg ground lean beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 red onions
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 3 diced carrots
  • 2 tbsp parsley
  • 1 tbsp dill
  • 1 tsp baharat
  • 360 gr brown rice, cooked
  • 3 cups water
  • ground black pepper to taste
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Heat 1 Tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Cook the onions for 2 minutes. Add the carrots and cook for an additional minute.
  • Add the beef, break the meat up as you go to prevent chunks for 6-8 minutes and cook for 3 more minutes.
  • Add the rice and garlic, stir for 3 minutes.
  • Add the seasonings and spices, add water and stir.
  • Cover and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.
  • Turn off the stove, leave for 10 minutes.
